On Mr. Zileli’s comment -Difference between the Stalinist and Trotskyite

Mr. Gun Zileli , on his writing where his "so called" critique and insults to Stalinists ,while he was comparing his (and of bourgeoisie’s)  beloved British agent, Robert Conquest ‘s (which he translates often) book to Grover Furr’s same topic book; responding to a young reader ‘s comment  of  "" For a human being to accept such "crimes", there could be only one reason- their loved ones being under threat... “ he responds;

""In the law of a country, what is called “confessions ", should be forbidden. If there is a "confession" somewhere, there is a confession in one way or another, i.e. confession, torture, repression and threat. ""

Leaving my comments on the subject of the books to a near future, let's talk and touch base on the subject of tortured and confessed events. (Moscow Trials)

I suggest that all the readers who are sincere in revolutionarism, should read what I will say below, carefully, slowly, then to close their eyes and evaluate it in their minds and give their own answers.

First of all, the said court, when it has such political content, is usually carried out in a closed form, like in Turkey and similar countries was carried out in an open way, to the press of the whole world.

Before entering this topic, let's look at Turkey's history and bring our minds to Deniz, Mahir, Cihan Kaypakkaya and all others. For example, in the 1970s and 80s, as in the cases of from India to Greece to Latin America, the revolutionaries in Turkey did not deny their beliefs in the courts, even if they knew they were going to die, but on the contrary they continued to defend. The number of active revolutionaries who have not been tortured in the 1970s is very small. In some cases, Revolutionaries did not even give their own names under torture, they exposed the tortures in the courts and defended their beliefs in the courts. Deniz and others, even though they knew they were going to go to gallows, they did not say "we were wrong" or " we regret", they became immortals as they scream revolutionary slogans on gallows with their last breath.

Related to the subject, people who were tried in the 1936 at the Soviets court were politically conscious people, who were involved in the struggle for years, such as the Central Committee Secretary, like Zalensky of the Politburo members like Bukharin and Rykov,. Aside from the fact that in an open court full of foreign press, the smallest indication that they have been tortured could not have been overlooked (if there was, the bourgeois press would have grabbed to support their lies), none of them claimed to have been tortured in court.

The most important issue is that, even though they knew they were going to die, none of them have come forward and made any defense to being (being) Trotskyites, and they (still) believe in it. They acknowledged that what they did was mistake, and even blamed each other.

Now let us ask ourselves, while a 17 years old revolutionary like Erdal Eren, whose level of theoretical consciousness is not as high (as theirs), knowing that he is going to gallows, could show the exemplary honor and courage to defend what he believed in, not even one of those Trotskyists with leaders among them, theoretically well-informed, couldn’t show any guts or honor to defend their belief? Is this possible?

Never mind a revolutionary, anyone who has little will power, knowing that he is going to die, can he choose to die without honor , rather than dying with honor, defending his believes?

Ask yourself this question ...... and give yourself the answer.

---------------------------------

Let’s read the quotes from their words in court

Kamenev
"I together with Zinoviev and Trotsky," declares Kamenev, "was the organizer and leader of a terrorist plot which planned and prepared a number of terroristic attempts on the lives of the leaders of the government and the Party of our country, and which carried out the assassination of Kirov.

"For ten years, if not more," continues Kamenev, "I waged a struggle against the Party, against the government of the land of Soviets, and against Stalin personally. In this struggle, it seems to me, I utilized every weapon in the political arsenal known to me - open political discussion, attempts to penetrate into factories and works, illegal leaflets, secret printing presses, deception of the Party, the organization of street demonstrations, conspiracy and, finally, terrorism."

The proletarian revolution allowed us a period of time for our political struggle which no other revolution gave its enemies. The bourgeois revolution of the 18th century gave its enemies weeks and days, and then destroyed them. The proletarian revolution gave us ten years in which to reform and to realize that we were in error. But we did not do that. Three times was I reinstated in the Party? I was recalled from exile merely on the strength of my personal statement. After all the mistakes I had committed I was entrusted with responsible missions and posts. This is the third time I am facing a proletarian court on the charge of terroristic intentions, designs and actions.

"Twice my life was spared. But there is a limit to everything, there is a limit to the magnanimity of the proletariat, and that limit we have reached. I ask myself," says Kamenev further, "is it an accident that alongside of myself, Zinoviev, Evdokimov, Bakayev and Mrachkovsky are sitting emissaries of foreign secret-police departments, people with false passports, with dubious biographies and undoubted connections with the Gestapo. No! It is not an accident. We are sitting here side by side with the agents of foreign secret-police departments because our weapons were the same, because our arms became intertwined before our fate became intertwined here in this dock.

"Thus," says Kamenev in conclusion, "we served fascism, thus we organized counter-revolution against socialism, prepared, paved the way for the interventionists. Such was the path we took, and such was the pit contemptible treachery and all that is loathsome into which we have fallen.""

HOLTZMAN

"Here," says Holtzman, "in the dock beside me, is a gang of murderers, not only murderers, but fascist murderers. I do not ask for mercy."

N.LURYE

"My crime is clear, it has been proved," says N. Lurye. "I do not know what I might still say in my defense. In my last plea I can only express regret for what I have done . . . but my regret comes too late.""

Let's see what the leader Zinoviev says;

"I want to say once again," says the accused Zinoviev at the outset of his last plea, "that I admit that I am fully and completely guilty I am guilty of having been an organizer of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite bloc second only to Trotsky, the bloc which set itself the aim of assassinating Stalin, Voroshilov and a number of other leaders of the Party and the government. I plead guilty to having been the principal organizer of the assassination of Kirov.

"The Party," continues Zinoviev, "saw where we were going and warned us. In one of his speeches Stalin pointed out that tendencies may arise among the opposition to impose its will upon the Party by violence. At one of the conferences held before the XIV Congress of the Party, Dzerzhinski called us Kronstadtists. Stalin, Voroshilov, Orjonikidze, Dzerzhinski and Mikoyan did all they could to persuade us, to save us. Scores of times they said to us: you may do enormous harm to the Party and the Soviet government, and you yourselves will perish in doing so. But we did not heed these warnings. We entered into an alliance with Trotsky. We filled the place of the Mensheviks, Socialist-Revolutionaries and whiteguards who could not come out openly in our country. We took the place of the terrorism of the Socialist-Revolutionaries. Not the pre-revolutionary terrorism which was directed against the autocracy, but the Right Socialist Revolutionaries' terrorism of the period of the Civil War, when the S-R's shot at Lenin.

"My defective Bolshevism became transformed into anti-Bolshevism, and through Trotskyism I arrived at fascism. Trotskyism is a variety of fascism, and Zinovievism is a variety of Trotskyism.

SMIRNOV

““This was the mistake I made, which later grew into a crime. It induced me to resume contact with Trotsky, it induced me to seek connections with the Zinovievite group, it brought me into a bloc with the group of Zinovievites, into receiving instructions on terrorism from Trotsky through Gaven in November 1932, and it brought me to terrorism. I communicated Trotsky's instructions on terrorism to the bloc to which I belonged as a member of the center. The bloc accepted these instructions and began to act.".""

ÖBERBERG

"My entire political outlook," says Olberg, "took shape under the influence of Trotsky and Trotskyism. Following Trotsky, I shrank neither from terrorism nor from agreements with the fascists. The aims of the Trotskyite counter-revolutionary organization and the hopelessness of these aims became particularly clear to me at this trial during which I saw, quite distinctly, how pitiful were the leaders of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite counter-revolution who led us, the young ones, along the path of terroristic struggle, and how great was the power of the Soviet state. . . I ask the Supreme Court to give me the opportunity of trying at least to some extent to atone for my monstrous crimes."

BERMAN-YURIN

"In my last plea," says Berman-Yurin, "I do not want to defend myself by any arguments. There are no such arguments. I repented, but too late. Yesterday, in his speech for the prosecution, the citizen State Prosecutor drew the complete picture of my crimes. And the proletarian state will deal with me as I deserve. It is too late for contrition."

Ter-Vaganyan and Fritz David.

"I bow my head in guilt before the Court and say: whatever your decision may be, however stern your verdict, I accept it as deserved."

Mrachkovsky
"I do not want my sentence to be reduced,". I do not want this, I want to be believed in the investigation and in the court when I tell all the truth. I want to leave my life without any shit.

"Why did I take the counter-revolutionary way?" "My connection with Trotsky - that's what brought me to this;

"I am leaving as a partisan treacherous, a traitor to be lined up in a lead, all I want is to believe that I spit this vomit during the investigation."

Evdokimov

"Who will believe our only sign?” "Who will believe us, who will believe us, who plays such a disgusting comedy in the fresh grave of our murdered Kirov, who will believe us, Stalin, and other leaders of the people, by coincidence, without being guilty of ourselves?

The difference between us and the fascists is against us. Fascism is clearly and honestly written on his post: 'Communism in Death.' We always had 'lived in Communism' on our lips, whereas in action we were fighting against socialism, which was victorious in the USSR.

"I do not add as much as I can to asking for amnesty," "Our crimes against our proletarian state and against the international revolutionary movement are too great (crimes) for the possibility of waiting for our forgiveness,

Dreitzer

"The history and political significance of each of your units was not the same, but the arrival of the assassins became equal to all of us here, at least I am one of those who do not have the right to ask for amnesty or to wait.

Reingold

"Our trial, the trial of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite terrorist and fascist organization,

"I totally accept the crime.

Bakayev

"I am guilty of assassination of Kirov,”......

We Trotskyists and Zinovievites have not worked only in the interests of the international counter-revolutionary bourgeoisie, we have also worked hand in hand with the most painful enemies of the working class, the fascist agents.

Pickel

"My life has been the last eight years of disgrace, years of horrible, nightmare, I must carry the punishment I deserve."

Is it possible to make those who know their end is death, say what they said if they were not the truth, in an open court where the foreign press and whole world is watching, by applying torture?

How many alternatives to this question? Two.

1. They, despite the fact that they knew they will be executed, were gutless Trotskyites who couldn’t come forward and defend (as Trotsky claims) they have done it for the benefit of Soviets and defend their belief and action as such.

2. They understood that what was done was wrong, and like a few of them, they acknowledged that this mistake was inexcusable and heartily admitted.

Except for the Marxist Leninists, who live in the imperialist countries, most of the people are always distant to real experiences, because they only see torture, killing, massacres on television and in movies. For this reason, the concept of such belief and such defense for their ideology to the end is incomprehensible for the most and especially the bourgeoisie. Since Trotskyism is a bourgeois ideology and the Trotskyists are on their way to becoming bourgeois or bourgeois, it is natural that they should believe that the Trotskyist in the court forced by torture to lie (and did not defend their belief).

Marxist Leninists-Stalinists believe that socialism could be built in a country, that they believe could be realized through revolution, that is, they are revolutionaries. They defend their ideology to the last, even at gallows.

Trotskyites do not believe that socialism could be built in a country, so there is no such thing as revolution, they are evolutionaries, that is why,  they have no specific ideology to defend to the end. They are already prepared for the bourgeoisie's courts – “”we do not claim revolution, we defend democracy “”......

For this reason that, the Bourgeois and Renegades embrace the mask of Trotskyism. Because with this mask they are not only able to cover their counter-revolutionarism, but, at the same time, mask gives them the possibility to attack Marxism Leninism without looking reactionaries.

Here lies the difference between a Stalinist revolutionary and bourgeois Trotskyite counter revolutionary.
