About criminal responsibility for sodomy

Based on Art. 3 of the Basic Principles of the Criminal Legislation of the USSR and the Union Republics, the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR decides:

To propose to the central executive committees of the union republics to supplement the criminal codes of the union republics with an article as follows:

“Sexual intercourse between a man and a man (sodomy) entails imprisonment for a term of 3 to 5 years.

Sodomy committed with the use of violence or with the use of the dependent position of the victim, entails imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years. "
