LUGANSK COMMUNISTS HELD A RALLY DEDICATED TO THE 101st ANNIVERSARY OF THE GREAT OCTOBER SOCIALIST

On November 7, in Luhansk, on Theater Square, a traditional communist rally was held, dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution.

The organizer of the event is the Union of Communists of Lugansk region. The participants laid flowers at the monument to V.I. Lenin. The first secretary of the Communist Party of the LPR Igor Gumenyuk spoke to the audience, who read out a congratulatory telegram from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and personally from the secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Kazbek Taysaev. Igor Gumenyuk said in particular:

“Our event is taking place on the eve of the elections in the LPR. Unfortunately, in our society there are some skeptics and critics of this constitutional procedure. I want to say that these comrades do not soberly assess the entire complexity of geopolitical processes. But it was our choice on May 11, 2014, and we must defend it on November 11, 2014 as well.

The communists call on all the inhabitants of the republic to postpone their affairs, come to the polls and demonstrate the consciousness and unity of the entire people! We, the inhabitants of Donbass, now, as in the difficult 14th year, must remain a united front and defend our gains!”

Party veteran, former first secretary of the Lugansk Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine Vladimir Zemlyakov, first secretary of the LPR Komsomol Gleb Grinko, representative of the city of Bryanka Valentina Buzanova and others spoke at the rally.

It is worth noting the speech of Alexander Andriyanov, deputy of the People's Council of the LPR, who recalled the criticism that Western propaganda is subjecting to the upcoming elections in Donbass. He also expressed the position that Leonid Pasechnik is the only candidate from all the people of the republic. Andriyanov's words were met with thunderous applause.

Soloist Alexander Vorobyov sang songs in front of the rally participants. Andrey Kalashnik, Denis Zheleznyak and coach Nikolai Oparin were awarded medals for loyalty to the Fatherland from the legendary General of Soviet Aviation Gennady Benov and the Russian Union of Soviet Officers, for active military-patriotic education of youth.

The rally ended with a solemn performance of the Internationale.
