IDENTIFYING AND COMBATING THE "PEACEFUL EVOLUTION" CONSPIRACY IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Under the conditions of finance capital, on the international arena there is no line between encouraging social change and imposing one culture's values on another. It is the hubris and exceptionalism of the West manifests itself ,unfortunately, within the ranks of "left" too in their approach to the countries of the world that has different, thousands of years culture, norms and ethics. It is the fatal mistake of disregarding the cultural history of other countries. Organized anti-communists have extensive expertise and are very skillful in criticizing the other cultures and imposing their capitalist culture on others.
The concrete fact of variations in cultures brings about the conflicts when one culture is assumed to be superior to all others. In fact, depending on the historical culture, what one sees as progress, another unavoidably will and should see as unnecessary interference. It is the duty and responsibility of the people of every country to carry out the progress without external influence. In our increasingly connected technological world, those consciously and unconsciously exaugurated differences and thus disagreements are becoming harder to avoid.
The real question is not whether either side is completely right. It is the respect for the cultures, norms and ethics of countries, because the people of each country is the sole responsible side for the changes in their society. Similarly, each people of the country has the sole right to protect their social, cultural and ethical values.
The reality however is that, it is not the "clash of cultures" but the "clash of classes" and clash of systems. The changes require and influenced by education. That is why the external strive for imposition of one culture is not only a simple arrogance and critique but is an ideological struggle to influence and change the political system. That is why the capitalists spend billions of dollars to impose their culture on others; sometimes overtly sometimes covertly. Especially when the conditions are ripe to infiltrate the education system of a socialist and/or socialist oriented country, they wouldn't pass those chances.
They implant and support academicians whose views are in aligned with them. They promote so called "peaceful" , "all inclusive" and "ideologically drained" education reforms in order to change the curriculum of the education systems.
In my humble opinion , although it may be under the control of the Party to some degree, this is a known situation in China. Now, as we read on the attached article , it is no different in Vietnam. This by itself proves the theory that the class struggle never ends but gets more wide spread in so many fields, in this case, in the field of education. Article outlines the tactics of infiltration in education in Vietnam- which may well be similar in most cases;
1. Training and bribing opposition forces within the education sector
2. Infiltrating the Textbook and Curriculum Editorial Board
3. Increasing the Difficulty of the Curriculum Beyond the Age Range
4. Distorting History in Textbooks
5. Depoliticizing Education, Downplaying Morality and Traditional Lifestyles
6. Promoting Investment in Foreign Schools and Study Abroad as a "Trap for Interests"

Vietnam
While previously, the "peaceful evolution" strategy often focused on economics, politics, and culture, in recent years, hostile forces have shifted their focus to education and training – the field that trains the future leaders of the country. Their scheme is to create a generation of young people who are politically naive, ignorant of history, detached from traditional culture, with deviant lifestyles and opposing ideologies, ready to oppose the revolutionary cause of the nation.
Correctly identifying their conspiracy and tactics is an urgent requirement and a task for the entire Party, the entire people, especially the education sector and parents.
MAIN TACTICS OF “PEACEFUL EVOLUTION” IN EDUCATION
1. Training and bribing opposition forces within the education sector
Hostile forces consider education administrators and teachers as the “key” to sabotage from within. They offer scholarships, invite them to training courses abroad or to educational institutions they invest in in Vietnam, aiming to spread Western “liberal education ideology” – in essence, classless education, emphasizing individual freedom, extreme individualism, and downplaying social responsibility and revolutionary ideals. Some officials and teachers with weak understanding have been lured into promoting this educational approach, eroding the positive nature of socialist education.
2. Infiltrating the Textbook and Curriculum Editorial Board
Through conditional funding and aid projects, they appoint individuals with deviant ideologies, or those trained according to their own agendas, to participate in textbook and curriculum editorial boards. From there, they have the opportunity to introduce false viewpoints, distort history, and undermine the leadership role of the Party and Ho Chi Minh's ideology into teaching materials.
3. Increasing the Difficulty of the Curriculum Beyond the Age Range
Taking advantage of the educational reform policy, they seek to interfere to make the curriculum too difficult, especially for elementary school students – causing pressure, loss of foundational knowledge, boredom with learning, and simultaneously reducing the trust of parents and students in the state-managed education system.
4. Distorting History in Textbooks
Some supported historians have deliberately defended traitors, denying the title of "puppet regime" in the South, and even distorting the righteous nature of the two resistance wars against France and the US. They want to obscure Ho Chi Minh's ideology, tarnish the leadership role of the Party, and the spirit of sacrifice of previous generations.
5. Depoliticizing Education, Downplaying Morality and Traditional Lifestyles
They are actively promoting a reduction in the time allocated to political, ideological, and moral education in schools, while simultaneously prioritizing "purely technical" education, causing students to lose direction and become detached from their responsibilities to the country and community.
6. Promoting Investment in Foreign Schools and Study Abroad as a "Trap for Interests"
Taking advantage of the opening up to international integration, foreign powers are investing in schools in Vietnam with curricula that do not meet national standards, increasing foreign elements, and distorting students' perceptions. At the same time, they grant scholarships for overseas study with the aim of training a class of people with anti-government ideologies, ready to act as "agents" for hostile forces upon their return.
THE NATURE AND TRUTH THAT NEEDS TO BE AFFIRMED
Vietnamese education is a socialist education system, led by the Communist Party, aiming for the comprehensive development of Vietnamese people – possessing both talent and virtue, rich in patriotism, and loyal to the ideals of national independence and socialism. The policy of educational reform always stems from practical realities, placing students at the center, and maintaining the goal of "teaching people – teaching literacy – teaching vocational skills."
The tactics of distortion, apolitical approaches, or increasing the difficulty level have all been detected and dealt with by the relevant authorities. We have been and are building an advanced, distinctive, and modern education system without losing the fine traditions of the nation.
If you are a parent, student, or teacher: Be wary of materials and reference books that distort history, belittle national heroes, or promote unhealthy foreign cultures. Pay particular attention to content related to "liberal education"—understand its true nature to avoid being misled.
If you are a student: Actively study national history, social sciences, and humanities; live with ideals and do not be swayed by empty promises or temptations.
As a citizen, if you discover textbooks, curricula, or teaching programs that show signs of inaccuracy, report it immediately to the education authorities or local police to prevent its spread.
Education is the future of the country. Today's young generation will be the builders and protectors of Vietnam in the new era. Our forefathers shed blood and sacrificed their lives to preserve our independence, so today, we must preserve the integrity and sustainable development of our national education system.
Let's work together to:
- Study well and train well according to President Ho Chi Minh's teachings.
- Propagate and explain to friends and relatives the correct understanding of the Party and State's educational policies.
- Be ready to fight against all false and misleading arguments.
- protecting historical truth and national cultural identity.
Education is the foundation of independence and development. No one can destroy our country's education system if every citizen, every teacher, and every student is a soldier on the front lines protecting knowledge and national spirit. Let's unite, be vigilant, and steadfast – for a generation of young Vietnamese who are civilized, strong-willed, and wholeheartedly love their homeland!
